This close-up seaview painting challenged me from start to finish. It was inspired by little ponds I’ve found on a stony Swedish shore. They were islands of water between huge stones, with flowers, other plants and little animals living in there. We often forget to look closer in nature and explore the little things. So I hope this oil painting always reminds you of the wonders found next to the ocean and in appreciating the little things.

Size: 30 x 30 cm

Materials: Winsor & Newton Artisan oil paint on stretched linen canvas. Titled, dated and signed on the back as well as signed on the front. Framed with a plain basswood frame.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR ART

The best way to ensure that your oil painting lasts a lifetime is keeping it away from direct sunlight and to remove dust regularly. Use either a dry brush, or a VERY lightly wetted, soft cleaning rag. Oil paintings usually don't mind a tiny bit of water.
SUSTAINABILITY

I give my best to make my painting practice more sustainable, so here are some details:
For the Vivid Tranquility Collection I used pre-primed stretched linen canvas and Winsor & Newton Artisan (aka water-soluble) oil paint. I prefer to use linen canvas instead of cotton canvas, as the linseed and linen production needs less resources than cotton. However, I don’t know where the linen comes from, so I can’t offer you further information. Aditionally, oil paint usually evaporates less VOCs comparted to acrylic paint, and I also didn't use any solvents to create this painting, to make the painting process less harmful for my health as well.
So, I would give it 2,5 stars from 5 (5=fully sustainable).

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Insured shipping costs for original paintings vary due to sizes and country. Right now I calculate with 15€ for smaller paintings and 30€ for medium sized paintings. If shipping costs less than the calculated amount, I will refund you or send you a discount code for your next purchase. Also, please note that I only ship within Europe, if you’re from somewhere else send me an email! Addionally, please allow up to two to four weeks for shipping. I want to make sure your painting is carefully and safely packed to be shipped to your door, but it takes a while.
