The original painting of this reproduction is named "Crocus - Daring to be Light", as it's such a light painting and as the petals of a Crocus are just so thin and light, they are almost transparent. Have you ever seen a bumble bee landing on a Crocus? They seem to love them, as sometimes there's not much else left for them to search for food, and even though the flowers almost tip over through their weight, they still dare to be light and mingle with the early spring grass. Besides, what's more beautiful than a lawn over-blooming with Crocuses and buzzing with bees?
For anyone who loves purple petals, spring lawns, who also dares to be light, enjoys the glow of a spring sun, botanical gardens, and contrasts (like purple with green, or dirty hands from digging in soil while sipping a prosecco).
Please note: Unfortunately my camera wasn't able to catch the "real real" background colour perfectly, so it's actually more green and less almost-ocre.
